Facilitator Near You
Below is a list of trained and approved facilitators of the Before We Say “I Do” premarital education program. These facilitators have their own private practice and/or business and are not connected to the Center for Marriage Preparation other than they have been trained in the program. They will have their own fees for sessions and policies. However, the cost of the online content and workbook will be set and purchased through the Center for Marriage Preparation.
Please contact the facilitator closest to you or whom you’d like to work with. Please note, some facilitators are mental health professionals and others are relationship educators.

Licensed Marriage and Family TherapisT
Hello! I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified family life educator with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I have taught courses in Marriage and Relationship Skills at UVU and supported Stronger Families throughout the community. I received my bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with an emphasis in family studies and a minor in psychology, and my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. I’ve been happily married for over thirty years and would love to help you prepare for your own marriage.
I am licensed in Utah and Idaho and see couples and individuals in my practice at Redwood Family Therapy.

Kathryn Pond Sargent, MS
RELATIONSHIP EDUCATOR
Kathryn is passionate about relationship education and is dedicated to helping couples intentionally prepare for a strong and lasting marriage. Her work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening relationships through education, empathy, and evidence-based tools.
Kathryn has a masters degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development and has been an adjunct faculty member in BYU's School of Family Life for 28 years. Kathryn and her amazing husband Steve are the parents of 6 children and 6 grandchildren.

Jeremy Boden, PhD, LMFT, CFLE

Dr. Jeremy Boden is the owner of the Center for Marriage Preparation and creator of the Before We Say, “I Do” premarital preparation program. Dr. Boden is an associate professor at Utah Valley University where he teaches courses in romantic relationships, human sexuality, and a couple therapy course in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist and maintains a small private practice in Provo, Utah. He specializes in married and premarital couples.
Dr. Boden is married to his wonderful and beautiful wife, Daria and they have four children.
